This is really amazing stuff. Thank you! Just a minor proofreading point: quote marks *precede* a semicolon or colon.

Thank you. Technically, depending on typographical style, quote marks can follow a semicolon or colon if the punctuation was included in the original quote. Of course, even commas and periods should go outside of quotes by modern standards, but the habit of putting them inside was due to 1970s typesetting conventions. Of course, I am not in academia, and my style guide was published in 1972, so that may explain why I don't follow current practices :-).
